When searching Gmail how do I exclude my Buzz activity?

When I am searching my Gmail I don't want to search my Google Buzz activity. How can I exclude messages from Google Buzz in my mail searches?

  my random query -buzz
  

  Or more specifically

  my random query -label:buzz
